Esse fabricante de azulejos tem muitos, mas muitos, modelos para piso e parede, em diversas cores, texturas e acabamentos. Mesmo pra quem não mora aqui, vale bastante apena olhar o site pra ter boas idéias! Eles inclusive mostram imagens do produto aplicado, e garantem que a foto é verdadeira, sem montagem, para o cliente ter mesmo noção do que vai comprar. Quando um dia eu tiver coragem de fazer uma reforma no banheiro, tenho vontade de misturar vários azulejos estampados, acho lindo!

This tile manufacturer has loads of options for wall and floor, in many many colours, textures and finishes. Even for those who do not live here, it`s nice to take a look at the website, just for a bit of fun and inspiration. They actually show images of the products in real life, I mean, in a bathroom or a kitchen, so the customer can be sure about what he or she is buying. When I have the guts to refurb my bathroom, I so want to mix a few of the printed tiles, I love those!

Shop in Notting Hill

Post curtinho só pra falar dessa loja/galeria de design em Notting Hill, a Themes & Variations. Já que a Portobello Road é famosa por seu mercado de antiguidades, a redondeza também é recheada de lojinhas legais. No site deles não tem muitas fotos, mas é o tipo de lugar que tem que conhecer, vale super a pena!!!!

Alice Young

Ver o trabalho de novos designers sempre traz inspiração. Essas são as criações de Alice Young, que, apesar de ser "novata" no mercado, já sabe agregar um apelo comercial - super necessário - a suas peças.

Browsing through young designer`s work is always a source of inspiration. These are Alice Young`s creations, who, despite being "new"to the design market, alreday knows how to add a glimpse of commercial appeal in her pieces.

Post em pleno sabadão só pra falar que me apaixonei por essa mesa/banco dos irlandeses da Farm21. Bem romântico e super feminino!

I`m writing on a saturday night only to say that I`m madly in love with this table/bench from Irish design studio Farm21. So romantic and girlie!

Overend

Após trabalhar com vários designers renomados - tanto na Inglaterra como também na Austrália - Alexander Harris resolveu lançar vôo solo e iniciou seu próprio studio, o Overend. Alexander acabou de mostrar sua nova coleção durante o London Design Festival, e pelo visto, podemos ver que ele vai muito longe!

After a few years working for some well known design professionals - not only in England but also in Australia - Alexander Harris decided it was time to go solo and started his own design studio, Overend. Alexander just showed his new collection at London Design Festival, and as we can see he has a great potential and for sure a colourful future ahead!

Light sculptures

Para contrastar um pouco com a luminárias que postei ontem, achei essas verdadeiras esculturas de luz, de Bruce Munro. Super modernas e fabricadas por um time de experts, elas parecem que dão forma a luz. Adorei essa instalação da primeira foto, que já foi exposta até no V&A museum, e une tecnologia e arte (pelo menos pra mim). Incrível!

For the ones who are fed up with vintage stuff, these are very modern lighting sculptures, by Bruce Munro. They`re manufactures by a team of experts and as you see them, you may have the sensation that they give shape to the light. I just love the installation (first picture), which was shown at the V&A and bring together technology and art (at least for me!). Amazing!

Jamesplumb

James Russel e Ana Plumb dividem a paixão por transformar o antigo em novo e mostrar a beleza nas coisas do dia a dia. O resultado são instalações e peças lindas, únicas e cheias de história; ou seja, um verdadeiro paraíso para quem, como eu, adora misturar o velho e o novo.

Claro que eu selecionei as luminárias para mostrar aqui no blog (juntou luminária e vintage, já viu, gamei!), e fiz questão de manter essa moldura nas fotos, acho que transmitem muito bem todo o conceito da dupla de designers.

James Russel and Ana Plumb share the interest in transforming old into new and see the beauty in the everyday things. Their unique approach to design results in beautiful pieces and assemblages, very unique and with a story to tell - a trully vintage heaven for people like me.

Of course I`ve chosen the lamps to show here (my biggest passions: lighting and vintage!), and I made sure I`ve kept the frames of the images: they do make a statement about all the concept envolving the designer`s way of working.

To Dry For

Existe design mais acessível do que um pano de prato? Esses entao, da "To Dry For", sao os mais legais que já vi. Quero todos, agora! Um jeito fácil de deixar a cozinha mais bonitinha. O problema é que as estampas sao tao bonitas, que a gente nao vai querer usar, e sim emoldurar e pendurar na parede!

Is there a more affordable desifn than a tea towel? These ones, from "To Dry For", are the coolest ever! I want them all and I want now! It`s such an easy way to let the kitchen prettier. The thing is, the prints are so lovely, we may not use them as tea towels: we`ll frame them and hang in our walls!
